Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
This safari starts immediately on landing at Kigali International Airport a pick by the company driver guide then a transfer to the charming montane rain forest of Nyungwe Forest National Park. En-route, visiting the Murambi Genocide Memorial and the Museum of Natural History getting to know about the victims that survived the tragic Genocide that claimed the lives of their dear ones. A lunch stop followed by a transfer to your lodge/ hotel for Check in. Dinner will be served amidst beautiful Views of the surrounding hills.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Lake Kivu
Early breakfast an exciting transfer to the Park headquarters for the Chimpanzee trekking guidelines followed by a transfer to the Cyamudongo Forest trailing through well marked trails in this rain forest in the lookout for the Chimpanzees enjoying other primates that will come your way expect to see L’Hoest monkey, Grey-cheeked Mangabey. The Chimpanzees trekking experience duration can’t be anticipated but can take 2-4 hours .For clear viewing you’re grouped in groups of 8 plus your ranger guides. One hour will be allowed in their presence, the forest is also gifted with numerous birds for the bird lovers. After the trek transfer to Lake Kivu.

3: Boat Cruise on Lake Kivu – Volcanoes National Park
The day begins with a morning Breakfast then transfer to the pier for a Boat Cruise on the world’s deepest fresh water lake offering scenic views of the Green Islands from a distance and Virunga mountains that surround the Lake, staring at the birdlife gifted to this Lake, enjoying the Beach with sandy shores. After the Cruise get on board and transfer to the Volcanoes National park on arrival check in to your lodge/ hotel.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Iby’iwachu Cultural Village
Here comes the long awaited day, starts with breakfast followed by a transfer to the Park headquarters for trekking guidelines around the Mountain Gorillas .Unveiling the forest to search the incredible Apes. The hiking duration is unpredictable 2-5 hours getting to see them at close range. An hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking photos for memories and learning more about the giant creatures. After trekking, lunch and a transfer to Iby’iwachu Cultural Village just a stone throw from the Park to enjoy and participate in Cultural performance from the local Rwandeese.

Day 5: Dian Fossey hike and Departure
A memorable hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb situated along Mount Bisoke Volcano. Hiking in groups with a skilled Park Ranger more will be described along the hike, learning about the life of a dedicated Primatologist who gave up her life to save the Mountain Gorillas that were illegally hunted at the time. Descend to the foot of this mountain, transfer back to the headquarters this hike winds up the safari to the land of thousand hills. Transfer back to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
