Day1: Airport Pickup
Today as you land in the land of the thousand hill, pickup from the Kigali airport by our company guide Visit some of Kigali’s craft markets, Genocide Museums and a Lunch break in town before embarking on the journey to the Volcanoes. Expect to follow the road as it climbs to the foots of the magical volcanoes, with spectacular views across the five peaks of the summits of Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura. Continue towards Volcanoes NP. (All activities today are payable directly).

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Wake up to the stunning views Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura peaks, we make our way to the Volcanoes National Park offices for the park guidelines.
Tracking the gorillas through the unique vegetation on forested slopes can take several hours of challenging hikes in wet and muddy conditions. Coming in close range with the mountain gorillas in the mist Jungle is an exceptional experience.

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking- and transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for golden monkey tracking, totally a different and unique experience but rewarding. These lively primates (golden Monkeys) are on the endangered list, and are fascinating to watch as they wonder through the dense forest. After the trek continue towards Rubavu, a nice small town, located on the northern shore of Lake Kivu. Evening Boat Cruise on the world’s deepest fresh water lake offering scenic views of the Green Islands from a distance and Virunga mountains that surround the Lake, staring at the birdlife gifted to this Lake ,enjoying the Beach with sandy shores. Retire to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 – LAKE KIVU – KIGALI –DEPARTURE
Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere of the calm and pristine waters of the lake. Return to Kigali. Lunch and later transfer back to Kigali airport. Depending on your departure flight you can visit the Genocide Memorial and Education Centre. Drop off to the airport in time for your flight home.
Note: This is only possible when your flight departs from Kigali at 5 p.m. or later. If you need another night in Kigali, we will be happy to make a booking for you.
Accommodation for tonight is not inclusive in the program. If you want us to book one (or more) nights in Kigali, please let us know.

Your transfers are provided by a vehicle from the lodge. This is a 4wd mini bus
