Itinerary
We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
On arrival you will be picked from the airport by our company representative who will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Arrival and transfer to Akagera.
After breakfast you will drive to the Eastern part of Rwanda to Akagera National Park. On arrival at the park you will do an afternoon game drive which will enrich you with wild animals like Giraffes, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyenas, Elephants, Crocodiles, Hippos and plenty of bird life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 3: Game drive and a boat ride on Lake Ihema.
Very early breakfast and then go for a game drive where you may spot various wild animals. Return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter go for a boat ride on Lake Ihema. You will spot various water animals most especially the hippos which are mostly spotted on a recreation point Known as Rwanda school of hippos and crocodiles. You will also be able to see other water habitats like different bird species, crocodiles and also variety of Reptiles. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 4: Transfer to Parc nationale des volcanoes.
After breakfast, you will depart for Parc Nationale des volcanoes. You will have lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 5: Gorilla trekking.
After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters where you will meet the ranger guides. After the briefing you will begin the search of mountain Gorillas. The trek can be quite tough that it takes a lot of time approximately 2-8 hours. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 6: Dian Fossey
You will have breakfast and then go to visit the grave of Dian Fossey. This is at the former Karisoke Research Center where Dian spent some twenty years studying the Mountain Gorillas, and the trek to the site is quite spectacular, passing through bamboo forest and afro-montane habitats. You may spot other wildlife during the visit. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 7: Golden monkey trekking.
After breakfast you will go for Golden monkey trekking. This takes a few hours, you will return to the lodge, have lunch and go to visit the twin lakes. Take a boat ride, enjoy the cool breeze of the lakes, and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay
Day 8: city tour-departure.
After breakfast you will drive to Kigali, you will go for a city tour. After the tour, you will have lunch and be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
